Kelly Mayes is a seasoned Marketing Communications Consultant with experience working with fast-moving, high-growth companies. Over the last 15 years, she has launched several companies and products, grown brand awareness for established companies, and helped others navigate business challenges.  

 

She was previously the Vice President of Marketing at Lightspeed Venture Partners where she oversaw the marketing, communications, and social media for the firm's brand, the partners and provided marketing support to its portfolio companies. 

 

Prior to that, she was a Director of Communications at AOL, where she launched several mobile and web properties with positive press results. Kelly began her career working at PR agencies, Zeno Group, The Horn Group, and Edelman, where she supported a wide range of companies, including eBay, Venrock, WebEx (prior to the acquisition by Cisco), Vontu (prior to the acquisition by Symantec) and Oracle.
